Micromax is now focusing on 4g smartphone and launching flagship devices. Recently Micomax launched Micromax canvas silver. Micromax claims Canvas Sliver 5 slimmest phone in smartphone market having width 5.1mm. Phone design looks great and silky but by putting at 18k price tag are they making mistake?
Design:
The Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 have 4.8-inch screen, and is 5.1mm thick. Phone is available in black and white-and gold variant. Easy to handle and fit easily into your hand. 3.5 mm audio jack and USB port are lie at bottom of mobile. The volume and power button lie on left side and volume button reside on right side of the phone. most of the bottom area is occupied with jack and USB port. Camera ring is little outside to prevent the any accidental damage to rear camera.
Aside from look it is light weight only 97 gm, Canvas silver 5 offer Android 5.0.2 lollipop OS. support single (Nano Sim) SIM and features a 4.8 inch (720*1080 pixel) HD Amoled display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Canvas silver 5 is powered by 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 and have 2GB DDR3 RAM and inbuilt 16GB memory but non expandable storage offered. 8MP rear camera with auto face detect and LED flash. 5 MP front camera for selfie. It claimed battery of 2000mAh long last till day. let see “How much backup it’s gonna give”?.
Camera is good it takes really good photo in bad lightning also. Sliver 5 will have benefit of “M! On-Site Care means register on Micomax site if faces any problem,doorstep to pickup phone along guaranteed repair or replacement in week.
Thoughts:
Have good looking design but lack in specification offered and price tag set for the phone. Battery life is questionable? Extenal storage not offered and single sim phone.
